Terms of Service

Last updated: October 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of pdfly (pdfly.host), an API that converts web pages and HTML into PDF files (the "Service"). The Service is provided by pdfly, Albania ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payments and handles returns.

1. Your account and API key

  • You sign in with your email address; we send a one-time link instead of using passwords. Keep access to that mailbox secure.
  • Your API key gives access to your account's quota. Keep it secret, use it only from your own servers, and create a new key in your account if it may have been exposed. You are responsible for all usage made with your key.
  • You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old, or use the Service on behalf of a business that accepts these terms.

2. Plans, limits and payment

  • The Free plan and each paid plan include a number of successful PDF conversions per calendar month (counted in UTC) and a maximum number of requests per minute, as shown on our pricing page. Failed conversions don't count.
  • When a monthly limit is reached, further requests are refused until the next month starts or you upgrade.
  • Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically every month until cancelled. Prices are shown in US dollars; Paddle may display them in your local currency and adds applicable taxes such as VAT.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Switching to another plan takes effect immediately and the difference is charged or credited proportionally.
  • We may change prices or plan contents for future billing periods. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any price increase on an active subscription.
  • Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • convert, store or distribute content that is illegal, infringes others' rights (including copyright), or that you are not authorised to access;
  • attempt to access internal networks, other users' data, or systems you are not allowed to reach, or to bypass the Service's security or limits (for example by creating multiple free accounts);
  • overload or disrupt the Service, or resell or share access to your account without our written agreement;
  • send spam, phishing or malware, or support any other unlawful activity.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, after a warning where reasonable.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the URLs and HTML you send and to the PDFs you receive. We process them only to perform the conversion: HTML and generated PDFs are not stored after the response is sent. We keep a usage log (time, converted URL, size, result) so you can see your history. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

5. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service fast and available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, updates or events outside our control may cause downtime. Rendering depends on the pages you convert, so we can't guarantee that every page converts exactly as it appears in a browser. We may improve, change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the Service as a whole, we will give paying customers at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid period not used.

6. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end these terms or suspend the Service for you if you seriously or repeatedly breach them.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here and, for material changes, notify account holders by email at least 14 days before they apply. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

9. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Albania, without affecting mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
